Geoscientist and entrepreneur

Geoscientist and entrepreneur is passionate about sustainable development. Francisco holds a Ph.D. in Circular Building Materials from KU Leuven in Belgium, within the prestigious network of doctorates “Maria Skłodowska-Curie Actions”, where he worked as a researcher in one of the largest construction ceramics companies in the world ( Wienerberger ). He is co-founder of two start-ups in the areas of geodiversity and e-waste and co-founder of the Energy and Climate Forum (FEC), a Portuguese NGO focused on projects to mitigate and adapt to climate change in 9 Portuguese-speaking countries. Francisco also holds positions in European science and innovation associations (Vice President of APEI Benelux, President of the EIT RawMaterials Alumni Board, and Member of the EIT Alumni Board).
