Kaupo Heinma is the deputy chancellor of the Ministry of the Environment, his areas of competence include the development, implementation of environmental management, technology policy, organization of the ministry's activities in the decision-making process of the European Union and in international collaboration.

In the past, Kaupo has managed the environmental organization of the Ministry of the Environment department, and during Estonia's presidency of the Council of the European Union, he also managed chemicals and an international working group on waste.

Kaupo's guiding principle is that each of us participates in the circular economy and thus, through everyday decisions, we can determine how much and how we affect the environment.
