Solace-Rose Naa Kwaaley Quartey is a Ghanaian Broadcast Journalist, Television/Radio/Event Host and Adult learning and development Expert. With over 2 decades of experience as a multifaceted communicator, Solace-Rose cites on-stage-presenting as her first love, catching her big break at age 10 when she took up MCing Funworld & Kidderfest, two of the most prestigious children’s festivals in Ghana at the time and for over 5 years, the stage of the National Theatre of Ghana was her home.

Until she moved to Europe in 2018, Solace-Rose Quartey, worked with Media General Group, Ghana, one of the biggest privately owned media giants in Africa, owners of TV3, 3Fm and Onua Fm. She served as a News Anchor for TV3’s prime time news bulletins, News 360, Midday Live, Morning News and selected bulletins on TV3’s radio Station, 3Fm. She was also one of the lead breaking news and field reporters for the outfit. If there was news worth breaking, she was always ready for action. She also served as substitute host for Mid-Morning Show, Urban Blend and the old Drive time show Easy Stream on 3fm.

Outside mainstream media work, Solace-Rose is also Voice Actor, lending her voice to promote major brands across Africa and Europe for the last 18 years. Some of her clients include telecom giants Vodafone Ghana, MTN GH, AirtelTigo, Ecobank, Barclays Bank (Now Absa Bank), Samsung Ghana, Pepsodent and 100s more. Solace-Rose was also the female voice of Viasat Nature, Viasat Life and Viasat Explore (Viasat World) until 2016. Solace-Rose has over 1000 voiceovers and scores of jingles, in English , Ga and Twi to her credit. Her favorite jingle , she says is the MTN 20th Anniversary song, which She co-wrote and sang.

Aside her exploits in media, Solace-Rose Quartey holds an Erasmus Mundus International Joint Master’s Degree in Adult Education for Social Change Student from the University of Glasgow, University of Malta and Tallinn University, a path that she charted because of her love for teaching. She permanently resides in Tallinn, Estonia where she works as Customer Support Training Specialist for Wise (Formerly TransferWise) and is the co-host for the Tallinn City’s podcast “Tallinn Talks” all this while running her own media production company Sirenity Media OÜ on the side. 

Solace-Rose’s most powerful tool is her Voice. She adds that her goal is “to use my voice literally and figuratively to instigate social change, to speak up where it matters and, with permission, stand in for those whose voices are not loud enough for duty bearers to hear. If a story or project I work can touch one life and change a mind for the better, then I my job is done”
